ERP is an Equal Opportunity Employer - Disability and Veteran. **Responsibilities** **Work Schedule:** Work schedule shall be betwee0700-1700 Monday-Friday to include a one-hour uncompensated meal break as determined by the clinical department. **Core Duties:** The duties include, but are not limited to the following; - Provide a full range of Physician Assistant services in primary and specialty medical care within the limits of their training and privileges granted by the MTF (e.g., supervise and provide general screening and medical care and examinations of patients for routine, acute and chronic conditions involving any and all organ systems; provide immunizations; diagnose, treat, and counsel patients as indicated). - Technically direct and provide care for a variety of diseases and types of injuries (i.e., acute, chronic and minor trauma), and the skills to recognize emergency conditions in order to diagnose, prescribe for and treat diseases, disorders and injuries, and refer the more complex cases and serious conditions to qualified medical personnel and perform designated treatment. - Technically direct and teach other staff, provide educational lectures and participate in in-service training to staff members. - Promote preventive care and health maintenance including annual physicals, positive health behaviors and self-care through both formal and individual education and counseling. - Prescribe in accordance with approved treatment protocols and the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee approved medications and immunizations. - Identify a medical problem and determine appropriate action to meet the problem, including referral to a physician. - Perform specific diagnostic and therapeutic practices and procedures in accordance with scope of practice. - Establish collaborative rapport with physician, nursing and others in order to promote and facilitate primary care services. - Teach patients and family member's healthy regimen and responsibility for achieving wellness. - Attend staff meetings to provide case discussion, continuing education, and continuous quality improvement. - Participate in peer review process. - Conduct special evaluations, including but not limited to Physical Health Assessment (PHA), Service History Physical Exams Separation History and Physical Examination (SHPE) related health assessment for non-flying and sister service personnel assigned to MTF. - Reviews medical documentation provided to determine if AD member is qualified for retraining, Special Duty, CONUS & OCONUS assignments and annual review-in-Lieu of MEB support that complies with applicable Department of Defense and Air Force policy and guidance. **Administrative Duties - Day to Day (More Detailed/Explained):** - Conduct comprehensive pre/post-deployment medical clearances in accordance with military deployment health standards, ensuring service members meet fitness requirements and documenting any medical limitations or recommendations for duty modifications. - Perform separation health assessments and medical evaluations to determine fitness for retention, career field changes, permanent change of station (PCS), and retraining requirements per applicable military regulations. - Execute mental health screening and assessment protocols including deployment mental health assessments, post-deployment health reassessments, and fitness-for-duty evaluations with appropriate referrals to mental health specialists when indicated. - Administer occupational health surveillance (once appropriately trained/certified) including periodic health assessments, workplace hazard exposure evaluations, shop visits for industrial hygiene assessments, and medical surveillance for personnel in high-risk occupational specialties. - Process medical waivers and retention determinations by reviewing comprehensive medical documentation, applying current military medical standards, and making recommendations for duty limitations, medical boards, or administrative actions. - Maintain detailed administrative documentation ensuring compliance with military medical regulations, deployment health guidelines, and occupational health standards while accurately completing required forms and medical readiness reporting. - Collaborate with command personnel and medical staff to provide consultative services on medical readiness issues, deployment suitability, and occupational health concerns affecting unit mission capability. - Stay current with evolving military medical policies including deployment health standards, occupational exposure limits, and medical retention criteria through ongoing education and regulatory updates. **Qualifications** **Minimum Qualifications** : **- Degree:** Possess a Bachelors Degree in Physician Assistant Studies. **- Education:** Graduate from an accredited college or university certified by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education of the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) or its predecessors, and acceptable to the HQ USAF/SG. - **Experience:** Have at least 12 months of experience as a Physician Assistant. * **Certification** :Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician's Assistants (NCCPA).
